Van Joseph Drounett Sr., 71, of Hackberry died on Thursday, May 13, 2021 in a local care facility.

He was born in Sulphur.

He is survived by his three kids, James Drounett and wife Defina Robison Drounett, Van Drounett Jr; one step daughter, Stephanie Kennedy; five grandchildrent; two brothers, Kenneth Drounett and Roland Drounett; and four sisters, June, Lorrie, Esther, and Judy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Dorothy Drounett; one brother; and three sisters.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 17, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial was at Drounett Cemetery in Hackberry.
