Two candidates qualified for the Mar. 20, 2021 special election for Cameron Parish Assessor. David Connor and Howard Scott Lavergne, both of Grand Lake, filed on Wednesday, the first day of qualifying. The election is being held to fill the office left vacant by the death of Assessor-elect Darrell Williams in December.

No candidates qualified for the Ward 6 Justice of the Peace election. Ward 6 is the Hackberry area. The office was left vacant by the death of Brian Desormeaux in September.
