Two identical passenger carrying vessels are being constructed. Each is 190 feet long by 50 feet wide and capable of carrying at least 32 automobiles and 6 semi-trucks. Each ferry will have a United States Coast Guard stability capacity of 500 passengers and 4 crew members.

Construction of Boat 1 (Hull 165) began April 2023 and is currently approximately 55% complete overall; with service projected by this time next year.

Construction of Boat 2 ( Hull 166) began July 2023 and is 45% complete overall; with arrival of vessel projected January 2026.

Woods said concerning Cameron II Ferry, that it is permanently in dry dock. It was scheduled for 180 day, but it will take longer, maybe June/July. He said they are doing everything to get the ferry back in service.
