Thomas Bourgeois of Grand Lake died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, at the age of 76 at his home. He was born in Church Point.

He was a painter for 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Evelyn (Thibodeaux) Bourgeois; three brothers, and one sister.

Survivors are his wife, Jo Beth (McGill) Bourgeois; daughter, Jessica Smith (Timothy) of Lake Charles; siblings, Betty Hernedez of Baton Rouge, Judy Johnson of Eunice, and Glenn Bourgeois of Church Point; and one granddaughter.

Per his request, his cremation had been entrusted with Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be announced on Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa website and Facebook page.
