Loretta Theriot, feature writer for the Cameron Parish Pilot was honored on Thursday, Sept. 19, at the 3rd Thursday Luncheon Meet & Greet held at T-Boys Restaurant in Grand Lake during National Older Workers Week.
Cameron Pilot staff and correspondents joined with friends to surprise her with a special gift and lunch. Theriot has been writing weekly features for the Pilot since December 2021. She shares wonderful historical stories, photographs and genealogical information about “Home Sweet Home Cameron Parish”.
Pilot Publisher, Jeffra Wise DeViney shared how much she appreciates Theriot’s stories as well as her dedication to Cameron Parish’s community newspaper that has been serving the people for 68 years not only as the local newspaper but as the Official Legal Journal. Loretta not only exhibits a high need to achieve but really cares so much about her home parish, Cameron. A former resident of Chenier Perdue, she now resides in Lafayette since being displaced by Hurricane Rita.
