The South Cameron Fire Department has announced the delivery of its newest emergency response asset — a state-of-the-art firefighting Marsh Master.
This specialized piece of equipment, valued at nearly $300,000, was fully funded by Venture Global LNG. Designed for operation in marsh environments, the Marsh Master significantly enhances the department’s ability to respond to incidents in areas that are otherwise difficult to access.
The addition of this unit will greatly improve the department’s capabilities in combating wildland fires that threaten both residential property and critical infrastructure throughout Cameron Parish. In addition to fire suppression, the Marsh Master will also be utilized for search and rescue operations, recovery efforts, and post-hurricane response following natural disasters.
“This equipment represents a major advancement in our ability to protect the citizens and resources of South Cameron,” First Asst. Chief Logan Manuel stated. “We are extremely grateful for the continued partnership and support from Venture Global LNG.”
The South Cameron Fire Department extends its sincere appreciation to Venture Global for its ongoing commitment to strengthening emergency response capabilities across Cameron Parish.
