Shirley Evelyn Simon, 88, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024 at her home in Longville. She was born in Johnson Bayou.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Jessie Simon Sr.; two children, Tina Metcalf (David), and Jessie Simon Jr. (Belinda); brother, Curtis Trahan (Loretta); 11 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Uriah and Hattie Trahan; a son, Roy Jones; four brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 8, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur. Pastor Arvin Harrell officiated. Burial was held at Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Longville.
