GRAVITY DRAINAGE 

DISTRICT NO 4

OF CAMERON PARISH

JULY 22, 2026

Gravity Drainage District No. 4 of Cameron Parish held a regular meeting at South Cameron High School, 753 Oak Grove Highway, Grand Chenier, Louisiana 70643, at 5:30 pm, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Chairman Shane Broussard called the meeting to order.

Board members present for the meeting were Shane Broussard, Yancy Welch, Dan Nunez, Zavier Theriot and Leslie Griffith.  All members were present.

On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the minutes of the Wednesday, June 24, 2026 meeting were approved.

On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Theriot and carried, the Board accepted the financial report of June, 2026.

On motion of Mr. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Griffith and carried, the Board approved the following bills for payment:

1. Jeff Davis Electric Co-Op – $89.02

2. Cameron Pilot – $35.00

3. Gragson, Casidy & Guillory, LLP $3,500.00

4. Red Rooster AG Services, LLC – $1,825.20

5. Seven-O-Residential & Commercial – $320.00

On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the Board accepted the annual financial statement and Independent Accountant’s Compilation Report submitted by Gragson, Casiday & Guillory, LLP, Mr. Coy Vincent.

On motion of Mr. Theriot, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the Board approved spraying of Lateral “O” and Lateral “B”.

On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Theriot and carried, the Board approved the permit submitted by LA DOTD; Permit:  Louisiana DOTD; Location of Permit:  Muria Road, Little Chenier, (Proposes to replace the bridge along Muria Road. In addition, portion of Muria Road near the bridge will undergo a mill and overlay, which will result in a new asphalt surface.  The existing bridge to be replaced is a two-span, 38 foot concrete slab structure supported by timer and wood piles that crosses the Little Chenier Bayou.  The finished grade of the proposed roadway will be raised to avoid flooding/overtopping from the 5-year design storm.)

There being no further business, on a motion from Mr. Theriot, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
