MINUTES OF 

PROCEEDINGS

The Board of Commissioners of Lower Cameron Hospital Service District met in Regular Session on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 4:30 p.m., at South Cameron High School in Grand Chenier, Louisiana. Members present were Chairman Stephanie Rodrigue, Shawn Bonsall, Tredale Boudreaux, Mary Canik, and Michelle Trahan.  Vickie Kiffe was absent.  Secretary Michelle Vincent, Videographer Derek Williams and three Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies were in attendance. Kevin Dupke was a guest in attendance.

Stephanie Rodrigue, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 4:30pm.

Tredale Boudreaux led the Pledge of Allegiance. The prayer was led by Mary Canik.

Roll was called by Secretary Michelle Vincent. A quorum was determined.

Upon motion by Shawn Bonsall and seconded by Michelle Trahan, the Board of Commissioners approved the agenda.

There was no comment cards submitted and no public comments.

Upon motion by Tredale Boudreaux and seconded by Mary Canik, the Board of Commissioners approved the July 14, 2026, special meeting minutes.

Upon motion by Shawn Bonsall and seconded by Mary Canik, the Board of Commissioners approved the receipt of an update on the Status and Scope Changes Related to Applicable Codes pursuant to South Cameron Memorial Hospital Helipad and Replacement Facility, as prepared by Matthew Caillouet on behalf of Hoffpauir Studio Architecture – WHLC Architecture.

Upon motion by Mary Canik and seconded by Tredale Boudreaux, the Board of Commissioners approved the ratification of payment of recurring bills.

Upon motion by Michelle Trahan and seconded by Shawn Bonsall, the Board of Commissioners approved the Financial Report, as prepared by Treasurer Julie Trahan and presented by Secretary Michelle Vincent.

Upon motion by Shawn Bonsall and seconded by Tredale Boudreaux, the Board of Commissioners approved payment of the bills.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:48 PM.
