Cameron Parish Recreation District 5 held its regularly scheduled meeting on August 18, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.
Board President Tremayne Picou called the meeting to order and on roll call the following members were present: Kayla Conner, Thomas Cox, Jacob Babcock and Brett Bellard
Absent: none
Employees in attendance were Lisa Ledano.
Guests present: Joe Dupont, Connie Businelle, Casey Bridges, Gwen Robicheaux, Haley Alleman, Michelle Bellard, Brandan Thomas, Dylan Conner, Megan Conner, Delores Young and Wendy Harrington
Minutes of the previous meeting, June 16, 2022, were distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Thomas Cox made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.

•Public Comment – time was allowed for public comment prior to voting on all agenda items.
•Tremayne Picou provided quote information to the board for obtaining a temporary building and equipment. He received quotes from Fitness Expo and Willscot. Brett Bellard made a motion to table the temporary building and equipment to a later date. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: Guests in attendance had various comments. The majority felt the quotes were too high for a temporary facility.
•Joe Dupont informed all in attendance that the police jury should have additional information from FEMA in approximately 2 to 3 weeks in regards to the facility.
The board members present reviewed the invoices for the months of June and July 2022. Jacob Babcock made a motion to approve the bills. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
The treasurer’s reports for the months of June and July 2022 were distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Kayla Conner made a motion to accept the treasurer’s reports as presented. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
With no further business to discuss, Thomas Cox made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Kayla Conner seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
