Cameron Parish Recreation District No. 5
Cameron Parish Recreation District 5 held its regularly scheduled meeting on August 24, 2023 at 6:00 pm.
Board President Tremayne Picou called the meeting to order and on roll call the following members were present: Thomas Cox, Jacob Babcock and Kayla Conner
Absent: Brett Bellard
Employees in attendance were Lisa Ledano
Guests present: Garry Johnson, Joe Dupont, Lee Faulk and Mitch Thomas
Minutes of the previous meetings, July 20, 2023 and July 27, 2023, were distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Thomas Cox made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.

The board members present reviewed the invoices for the month of July 2023. Jacob Babcock made a motion to approve the bills. Kayla Conner seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
The treasurer’s report for the month of July 2023 was distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Thomas Cox made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report as presented. Kayla Conner seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
Mitch Thomas addressed the board regarding the process of moving forward with a new recreation facility. He stated that a site plan needs to be put together using the existing floor plan along with the new floor plan to meet current codes.
With no further business to discuss, Thomas Cox made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Kayla Conner seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
