Ruth Jane Arabie, 81, died July 17, 2020, in a local hospital.

She was born in Lake Charles and lived there all her life. She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her sons, Carl Trahan and wife Rilda of Richmond, Va., Harold Trahan and wife Diane of Galveston, Texas, Keith Trahan of Grand Lake; daughters, Anette Childers and husband Mike of Billings, Mont., Kay Soileau and husband Barry of Grand Lake; sisters, Juanita Thibodeaux of Lake Charles, Joyce McComb of Moss Bluff; 14 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antoine and Maria Arabie; two sisters; two brothers; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 21, at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Burial followed at Hebert Cemetery in Hecker.
