Rudolph Nunez, 87, of Lake Charles died on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021.

He was born in Lake Charles. He was a retired employee of 33 years with Himont Chemical. He was Catholic and attended Christ the King Catholic Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Jackie Leslie and husband Reggie of Moss Bluff; two sons, Rudolph “Chip” Nunez Jr. and wife Renee’ of Tomball, Texas, Eric Nunez and wife Angie of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, George E. Nunez, Brent Nunez, and Dennis Nunez, all of Sweetlake, and Kenneth Nunez of Opelousas; and sister, Paula Benoit of Spring, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby Newton Nunez; wife, Dolores Ann Nunez; two brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 9, at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Burial followed at the Grand Lake Community Cemetery.
