The Cameron Parish Police Jury will meet Friday, June 11, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. respectively, for agenda and voting meetings. Food trucks will again be on the agenda at the morning meeting, along with the Waste Management contract and a report from Katie Barnes of Audubon Louisiana.
The afternoon voting meeting agenda is incomplete at this time but will include a public hearing and vote on consolidating the Cameron, Creole, and Grand Chenier Fire Departments into one department with a five-member board. The full ordinance change is printed in the legal news today.
A public hearing and vote will also be held on reducing the speed limit on Brian Circle (PR 4015) and Fosson Lane (PR 467) in Grand Lake to 10 mph.
Ad valorem (property) tax millage rates will be adopted for 2021. The rates will be set for the police Jury and all parish districts. Other items may be added to these agendas before next week’s meetings.
