Paul Darrell Bertrand, 68 of Grand Lake, originally from Creole went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 14 2021 at his residence. He was born on Nov. 23, 1952. He went to South Cameron High, and was a full time dragline and crane operator for over 40 years. He was a very kind hearted man who loved to work and was loved by many.

Mr. Bertrand is survived by his loving wife Wanda Bertrand, married 27 years; one sister, Janice and (George) Morales of Lake Charles; two brothers, Butch and (Jackie) Bertrand of Creole and Richard and (Sherry) Bertrand of Elton; three daughters, Renee and (Robert) Rogers, Teressa and (Roger) Fontenot, and Nicole Bertrand Smith; one son, Charles (C.W.) Bertrand; two stepsons, Brent Norris. John Norris; two stepdaughters, Michelle Smith and Kimberly Lowery and (Nicholas Clapper); 10 grandsons; eight granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bernice Woodrow Bertrand; brother Bobby Bertrand; and niece, Jill Morales.

Funeral service will be held at Simple Traditions by Johnsons Funeral Home on Monday, Aug. 30, from 12-2 p.m.
