The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in regular session at the Waterworks office located at 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou and via zoom on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. Members present were Mrs. Connie Trahan, Mr. Wesley Roberts, Mr. Kent Carlson, Mr. Jim Snyder and Mr. Nathan Griffith. Members absent were none. Guests attending were Rhonda Morrison, Carl Trahan, and Jeff Landry.
It was moved by Mr. Griffith to call the meeting to order.
The prayer was led by Mr. Griffith.
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was made.
It was moved by Mr. Roberts and seconded by Mr. Snyder and carried to accept the minutes as read.
Rhonda discussed the double check valve assemblies that are required to be installed on multiple customers water lines to meet La. Department of Health and Hospital regulations. Rhonda obtained quotes on the installation and testing for the customer. The Board of Directors will purchase the required backflow assemblies, have them installed and tested so the Waterworks will meet the DHH deadline. It was moved by Mr. Snyder to give the customer 2 years to pay back the cost of the initial installation and testing. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Trahan and carried. The annual testing, repairs or replacement of the backflow assemblies will be the responsibility of the customer.
It was moved by Mrs. Trahan to authorize President Nathan Griffith to sign the compliance letter and client representation letter for the 2020 Audit. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Mr. Carlson and carried.
It was moved by Mr. Roberts, seconded by Mr. Snyder and carried to approve the bills as paid. With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Mr. Griffith to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 p.m.
