Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office hosted an Inaugural Ceremony and Retirement of Sheriff Ron Johnson on Thursday, June 20 at 11 a.m. at the Cameron Parish Multi-Purpose Building, 122 Recreation Center Lane in Cameron.

Opening Prayer was led Pastor Kris Howerton.

Pledge of Allegiance recited by Scott Lavergne, Cameron Parish Tax Assessor.

Welcome address was given by Honorable Sheriff Ron Johnson.

Introduction of Public Officials was made by Susan Racca, Cameron Parish Clerk of Court.

Introduction of the new Sheriff was made by Sheriff Ron Johnson.

Administering the Oath of Office was Judge Penelope Richard, 38th Judicial District Court for Sheriff Chris Savoie, Chief Deputy Jake McCain and CPSO Deputies.

Recognizing Retiring Sheriff Ron Johnson was incoming Sheriff Chris Savoie who followed with his closing remarks.

Benediction and Blessing the Meal was Pastor Kris Howerton.
