WATERWORKS DISTRICT 2
October 11, 2023
There was a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Water District No. 2 at 6:00pm, Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the Hackberry Waterworks office.
PRESENT: Mr. Michael Fewell, Mr. Mike Welch, Mr. Donald Buford, Mr. Brad Hinton
ABSENT: Mr. Mark Trahan
Employees present: Mr. Glenn Welch, Mr. Dalton Nunez, and Mrs. Shaun Kyle
The meeting was called to order by Board President Michael Fewell who also led the pledge and prayer.
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comments were made.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Mike Welch and carried unanimously, the minutes from the September 13, 2023 meeting were approved.
Monthly Operator updates were presented by Glenn Welch and Dalton Nunez. The engine is being replaced in the Dodge work truck. The drive went out at LNG pump station and the PLC power supply went out at wellsite #3. The Board suggested getting quotes to replace the PLC. Also, the Board suggested the operators gather information on options to replace the aging ground storage tanks.
The monthly updates and financial reports including the Actual vs Budget Report for the month ending September 30, 2023 were presented by Shaun Kyle.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford and carried unanimously, the financial reports were accepted and all bills were approved for payment.
Our next meeting will be Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 6:00pm.
There being no further business, on motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Mike Welch and carried unanimously, the meeting was declared adjourned.
