?PROCEEDINGS
The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in regular session at the Waterworks office located at 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou on October 10, 2023, at 5:00p.m. Members present by roll call were Mark Young, Connie Trahan, Kent Carlson, and Nathan Griffith. Members absent were Bobbie Trahan. Employees attending were Rhonda Morrison and Aaron Jinks.
It was moved by Nathan Griffith to call the meeting to order.
The pledge was said by all present and the prayer was led by Nathan Griffith.
A Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was given.
It was moved by Mark Young, seconded by Kent Carlson and carried to accept September minutes as read.
The Sabine Pass LNG distribution line extension project was discussed. Due to discrepancies prior to the project start date, the job was halted. It was moved by Mark Young to authorize Nathan Griffith to sign an amendment to the original Cooperative Endeavor agreement once K & M Project Services presented their engineer report. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Connie Trahan and carried.
Updates were given on the development of the new property and quotes were reviewed.
It was moved by Mark Young to accept the lowest bid of $21,412.00 from McManus Construction to install a 32-foot driveway with DOTD approved RCP pipe, fill material and limestone base. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Connie Trahan and carried.
It was moved by Kent Carlson to accept the lowest bid of $93,400.00 from Lakeside Construction for the site fill project including labor and material of approximately 3000 yards of fill material to properly build up property and maintain drainage. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Mark young and carried. Additional information pertaining to erosion on the east and south side of the property will be obtained for the November meeting.
It was moved by Connie Trahan to accept the lowest bid of $33,500.00 from Hercules Fence to install approximately 900’ of 6’ commercial link fence plus barbwire, 12’ double gate and a 4’ single gate. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
Rhonda presented an update from Cameron LNG on the proposed new well site agreement. She will update the Board as she receives information. Once the proper paperwork is received, she will present the project to FEMA for a possible donor project from the water tower.
The Vulnerability and Risk assessment for cybersecurity has begun. The representative will present the findings once it is completed.
It was moved by Kent Carlson to officially donate 5 folding tables and 23 folding chairs to the recreation center due to the firemen sleeping quarters addition and no storage space. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Mark Young and carried.
It was moved by Connie Trahan, seconded by Mark Young, and carried to approve the bank statements and the Actual vs. Budget report for the month ending September 2023.
It was moved by Kent Carlson, seconded by Connie Trahan and carried to approve the bills as paid.
