The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement District No. 1 was held at 5:30 p.m., August 23, 2021 Via Zoom. Board members present were Mitchel Kelley, Robert Trahan, Marck Smythe, Gregory Gray, and Dede Sanders. Karl Styron and Thomas Cox was absent.
The meeting was called to order by Dede Sanders, who then asked for the reading of the minutes from the last meeting, May 24, 2021. A motion was made by Gregory Gray, seconded by Mitchel Kelley, and carried that the minutes be approved as printed. A motion was then made by Robert Trahan, seconded by Gregory Gray, and carried to approve the financial statement.
In new business, the board members decided to wait until the beginning of the following year to put the Secretary on salary instead of hourly pay.
Next, Gregory Gray made a motion, seconded by Robert Trahan, and carried to extend the time frame that employees have to use annual leave to March 1, 2021.
The next meeting date will be decided at a later date. There being no further business, Robert Trahan made a motion, seconded by Gray, and carried to adjourn the meeting.
