BOARD OF REVIEW
OCTOBER 7, 2024
The Cameron Parish Police Jury sat as a Board of Review in special session on Monday, October 7, 2024, in the West Annex Building in the Village of Cameron at 9:00 o’clock A.M. The following members were present: Mr. Ronald Nunez, Jr., Mr. Mark Daigle, Mr. Magnus McGee, Mr. Danny Myers, Mr. Michael Fewell, Mr. Sam Bordelon, and Mr. Johnny Watson. No member was absent.
There were no appeals for Board of Review discussion.
Mr. Fewell asked Cameron Parish Assessor Scott Lavergne, if there was anyway to raise the homestead exemption from $75,000 due to the cost of things now. The assessor will ask this at his next state meeting, because he has heard this is a topic of discussion.
It was moved by Mr. Fewell, seconded by Mr. Bordelon, and carried, that the Cameron Parish Police Jury does hereby accept the 2024 Assessment for real estate and personal property, as submitted by Scott Lavergne, Assessor.
There being no further business, on motion of Mr. McGee, seconded by Mr. Fewell and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
