NOTICE
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Article IV, Section 21(D)(1) of the Louisiana Constitution, that on November 9, 2021, Entergy Louisiana, LLC (“ELL”), a public utility providing retail electric and gas service throughout the State of Louisiana, filed with the Louisiana Public Service Commission (“LPSC”) its Application for Approval of the 2021 Solar Portfolio, the Geaux Green Option, Cost Recovery and Related Relief (the “Application”). The Application requests LPSC approval to add four solar photovoltaic generating resources (the “2021 Solar Portfolio”), with a total nameplate capacity of 475 megawatts (“MW”) to ELL’s generation portfolio. The 2021 Solar Portfolio is comprised of the St. Jacques facility, the Vacherie facility, the Sunlight Road facility, and the Elizabeth Facility, each of which would be constructed in the State of Louisiana upon the LPSC’s approval of the Application. ELL’s Application also requests implementation of the Geaux Green Option (“Rider GGO”), which is a voluntary rate schedule that allows customers to subscribe to a portion of the 2021 Solar Portfolio (and potentially to other future resources) to receive value directly from those resources. Specifically, the proposed Rider GGO sets forth the parameters under which the Company’s eligible customers can align some or all of their monthly electricity requirements with renewable resources by being able to receive value from both the energy from a renewable project along with renewable energy credits from the facilities. Although the Company’s Application requests to recover the costs of the 2021 Solar Portfolio through existing rate mechanisms, the relief requested will not directly result in a change in rates unless approved by the LPSC and implemented through later filings.
