PROCEEDINGS
The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in Regular session on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. via teleconferencing meeting the quorum requirements per La. R. S. 42:19 during the COVID-19 health emergency and Hurricane Laura evacuation. Members present were Mrs. Connie Trahan, Mr. Nathan Griffith, Mr. Kent Carlson, Mr. Jim Snyder and Mr. Wesley Roberts. Members absent were none. Guest attending were Rhonda Morrison, Jeff Landry and Carl Trahan.
It was moved by Mr. Griffith to call the meeting to order.
The prayer was led by Mr. Griffith. The pledge was said by all present.
It was moved by Mrs. Trahan and seconded by Mr. Snyder and carried to accept the minutes as read.
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was made.
Well 2 pump is in place and will be tested once the control panels and mission system are installed and operating from Hurricane Laura.
An update was given on the repairs to the water system from damages incurred in Hurricane Laura. Still have damages to repair at 3 sites with the Holly Beach tower replacement being the biggest project. Water had been turned on to the entire system prior to Hurricane Delta making landfall.
An update was given on the damages from Hurricane Delta. The line loss from the washout east of Holly Beach is the biggest damage for this hurricane. Water had now been turned on throughout the system up to the end of Holly Beach. A valve is being placed in line west of the washout to provide water to the customers and business to that point until the road is replaced and the distribution line is found or replaced.
It was moved by Mr. Roberts, seconded by Mr. Snyder and carried to approve the bills as paid.
With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Carlson and carried to adjourn the meeting @ 5:45 pm.
