OF CAMERON PARISH
May 20, 2026
Gravity Drainage District No. 4 of Cameron Parish held a regular meeting at South Cameron High School, 753 Oak Grove Highway, Grand Chenier, Louisiana 70643, at 5:30 pm, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
Chairman Shane Broussard called the meeting to order.
Board members present for the meeting were Shane Broussard, Leslie Griffith, Yancy Welch, and Dan Nunez. Zavier Theriot was absent.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the minutes of the Thursday, April 23, 2026 meeting were approved.
On motion of Mr. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Welch and carried, the Board agreed to send a letter of approval to Mr. Mark Daigle, Cameron Parish Police Juror District #5 in favor of the proposed West Creole Ridge Restoration Project.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Welch and carried, the Board accepted the financial report of April 30, 2026.
On motion of Mr. Welch, seconded by Mr. Griffith and carried, the Board approved the following bills for payment:
1. Jeff Davis Electric Co-Op – $87.45
2. Cameron Pilot – $29.00
3. Gragson, Casiday, and Guillory, LLP – $3,300.00
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the Board approved the addition of two permits to the agenda.
On motion of Mr. Welch, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the Board approved the two permits listed below:
1. LCUP#260613 – Papco Enterprises, Location of Permit: Off Ben Lane, Creole, Section 32, T14S, R07W, (proposes to construct three recreational spots for rental. Excavation of utility lines that consist of water, sewer and electrical. Trenches to be backfilled and hauling in rock material for parking and driveway.)
2. LCUP#260612 – Jeffrey Passofaro, Location of Permit: Off Acadia Drive, Creole, Section 7, T15S, R07W, (proposes to construct 20 recreational spots for rental. Excavation of utility lines that consist of water, sewer and electrical. Trenches to be backfilled and hauling in rock material for parking.)
There being no further business, on a motion from Mr. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Welch and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
