OF CAMERON PARISH
April 17, 2024
Gravity Drainage District No. 4 of Cameron Parish held a regular meeting at South Cameron High School, 753 Oak Grove Highway, Grand Chenier, Louisiana 70643, at 5:30 pm, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
Co-Chairman Dan Nunez called the meeting to order.
Board members present for the meeting were Leslie Griffith, Dan Nunez, Yancy Welch and Zavier Theriot. Shane Broussard was absent.
On motion of Mr. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Welch and carried, the minutes of the Wednesday March 20, 2024, meeting were approved.
Present for the Public Comment Period was Mr. Mark Daigle, Cameron Parish Police Juror and Mitch Thomas with K & M Services, Inc. (on speaker phone).
Mr. Thomas with K & M Services, Inc. (on speaker phone) advised the Board that D.U. contacted him to permit the Crain Brothers Structure with two 36” culverts.
Mr. Daigle asked the Board for support in his endeavor to have state highway ditches and culverts cleaned and repaired as needed. A motion was made by Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Welch and carried, to add this item to the agenda and write a letter of support to the Police Jury on this subject.
On motion of Mr. Griffith seconded by Mr. Welch and carried, the Board accepted the financial report of March 29, 2024.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Theriot and carried, the Board approved the following bills for payment:
1. Cameron Pilot – $41.00
There being no further business, on a motion from Mr. Welch, seconded by Mr. Theriot and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
