Board President Kathleen Simon called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Board Members present were Ernest Roberts, Wendy Harrington, Butch Guidry, and Kathleen Simon. Board members not present were Beth Ferguson, Peter Posada, and Jessica Crador. Wendy Harrington led the prayer and the pledge of allegiance.
During public comment, Scott Lavergne spoke with us about Amendment No.2 to Cooperative Endeavor Agreement and Payment in Lieu of Tax Agreement.
On the motion by Wendy Harrington, seconded by Ernest Roberts, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted the February 2023 minutes.
On the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Wendy Harrington, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted the Financial Statement.
Kim Montie from the Port Board, addressed concerns about the Letter of Support for Foreign Trade Zone.
On the motion by Wendy Harrington, seconded by Butch Guidry, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted to sign the Letter of Support for Foreign Trade Zone.
On the motion by Butch Guidry, seconded by Wendy Harrington, and carried, the Library Board voted to advertise for a PT Maintenance Employee.
On the motion by Butch Guidry, seconded by Ernest Roberts, and carried, the Library Board voted to move on turning over to the Police Jury for liquidated damages for Grand Chenier.
On the motion by Wendy Harrington, seconded by Ernest Roberts, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted to add to the agenda the Amendment No.2 to Cooperative Endeavor Agreement In lieu of Tax Agreement.
On the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Wendy Harrington, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted to sign Amendment No.2 to Cooperative Endeavor Agreement and Payment in lieu of Tax Agreement.
There being no further business and upon the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Wendy Harrington, and carried, the board voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:05 p.m.
