The mosquito control airplane will be spraying Wednesday afternoon during daylight hours due to safety reasons. These areas include Grand Chenier, Oak Grove, Cameron, Little Chenier, Chenier Purdue.

A contract plane will be spraying Johnson Bayou, Holly Beach, and Big Lake tonight.

Spray sensitive residents should seek shelter during the applications.

We will have spray trucks spraying many other areas at night. We will continue spraying with planes and trucks daily in areas with the highest mosquito populations until they are reduced to a more tolerable level.
