Mona Arceneaux

Mona Sharon Arceneaux, 67, of Hackberry died Sunday, June 12, 2022.

She was a 1973 graduate of Barbe High School. She attended McNeese State University, Texas Academy of Arts, and also received a “Culinery Arts” degree from Sowela Technical School.

She lived many years between Lake Charles, Grand Chenier, and Hackberry, but Grand Chenier was always closest to her heart. She became a Cameron Parish Mosquito Control Inspector for 25 years before having to take early retirement for her cancer diagnosis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lawrence Arceneaux, Jr, and Emma McCall Arceneaux; and three siblings.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tanya White (Paul White) of Cypress, Texas and Stacy LaFosse (Robbie LaFosse) of Grand Lake; and 4 grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Peter Apostle Catholic Church on June 16, in Hackberry. Viewing will from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Rosary. Immediately following the Rosary, mass will be said in the church. Graveside burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Grand Chenier at 3:30 p.m.
