A Mock Crash was held on Thursday, Feb. 27, at Grand Lake High School for Grand Lake and South Cameron High School Juniors and Seniors to emphasize the importance of driving responsibly. This event highlighted the dangers and aftermath of driving impaired or distracted, along with the serious consequences such actions can have on individuals, their families, and the community.
This collaborative initiative helps to educate young people and support them in making responsible decisions that will positively affect their futures.
Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office along with the follow were instrumental in orchestrating the event: Grand Lake High School and South Cameron High School staff and student volunteers who participated in the Mock Crash; Cameron Parish Ambulance; Grand Lake Fire Department; Coroner Dr. Dupke; Pastor Kris Howerton; Johnsons Funeral Home; Luke’s Towing, and student family members.
