REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING MONDAY JANUARY 17, 2022
The Johnson Bayou Recreation District of Cameron Parish met Monday January 17, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the Johnson Bayou Recreation Center located at 135 Berwick Rd. Johnson Bayou, LA 70631.
Members present: Mr. Heath Jinks, Ms. Tammy Erbelding, Mrs. Pamela Romero and Mr. Calise Romero
Member absent: Mrs. Adrienne Jinks
Guest: Mrs. Heather Trahan
Mr. Heath Jinks called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
The pledge and prayer were led by Mr. Heath Jinks
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comments were made.
The director updated the board on the rebuild efforts at the Johnson Bayou Recreation Center.
A motion was made by Mr. Calise Romero, seconded by Ms. Tammy Erbelding and carried to nominate Heath Jinks to continue as the acting president and nominated Mrs. Pamela Romero as Vice President of the Johnson Bayou Recreation Board of directors. Both nominations were accepted.
A motion was made by Mrs. Pamela Romero, seconded by Ms. Tammy Erbelding and carried to approve a 3% raise to all employees.
The director updated the board on the 2022 holiday schedule observed by the Cameron Parish Police Jury. A motion was made by Mr. Calise Romero, seconded by Mrs. Pamela Romero and carried to set paid holidays for the maintenance position to coincide with the holidays observed by the Johnson Bayou Recreation Center.
A motion was made by Mr. Calise Romero, seconded by Mrs. Pamela Romero and carried to accept the minutes from the December 16, 2021 meeting.
It was moved by Mr. Calise Romero, seconded by Mrs. Pamela Romero and carried to approve the bills as paid.
A motion was made by Mr. Calise Romero, seconded by Ms. Tammy Erbelding and carried to accept review of the financial statements.
With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Mr. Calise Romero, seconded by Ms. Tammy Erbelding and carried to adjourn the meeting at 6:58 p.m. The next regular meeting will be held in March.
