The Cameron Parish Police Jury, governing authority of the Parish of Cameron, State of Louisiana (the “Police Jury”), will meet in regular public session at its regular meeting place, 148 Smith Circle, Cameron, Louisiana, at eleven (11:00) o’clock a.m. on April 10, 2024, according to written notice given to every member thereof and duly posted in the manner required by law.
The President called the meeting to order and on roll call, the following members were present:

RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE DESCRIBING THE GEOGRAPHIC LIMITS OF THE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 15 OF THE PARISH OF CAMERON, STATE OF LOUISIANA
WHEREAS, by initial affirmative action taken by the Police Jury, an election has been called for November 5, 2024, to consider the levy of ad valorem tax in the Fire Protection District No. 15 (“District”), and as a result thereof, it is necessary to publish notice of the boundaries of the District;
BE IT RESOLVED by the Police Jury, governing authority of the District as follows:
SECTION 1. The statements of fact expressly contained within the preamble to this Resolution have been specifically reviewed by the Police Jury and are found to be factually true and correct, and are made resolutions of the Police Jury.
SECTION 2. That the President and Secretary of this Police Jury are empowered, authorized, and requested to cause to be published a public notice describing the geographic limits of the District, said publication to be made in one issue of the Cameron Pilot, in the same edition as the Notice to Voters is published, pertaining to the special tax election authorized for the Police Jury, by resolution adopted this date.

Beginning at a point where the east line of Cameron Parish intersects the north bank of the Intracoastal Waterway; thence following said north bank in a westerly direction to the intersection of the east bank of the Mermentau River; thence following said east bank of the Mermentau River in a northerly direction to the south bank of Lake Arthur; thence following the south bank of Lake Arthur in a northeasterly direction to the north boundary of Cameron Parish; thence in an easterly direction to the northeast corner of Cameron Parish; thence from the said northeast corner south following the east boundary of Cameron Parish to the point of beginning.
