The Cameron Parish Water and Wastewater District No. 1 Board met in regular session on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. in the water district office located at 126 Ann Street in the town of Cameron, Louisiana.

President Chris Mooney called the meeting to order.
The Pledge was led by Chris Mooney and the voluntary Prayer was led by Chris Mooney
Roll Call: Present: Chris Mooney, Tammy Peshoff, Tammy Vincent and Kathy Guthrie
Absent: Fred Sanders
On a motion by Kathy Guthrie, seconded by Tammy Vincent and carried, to approve and dispense from reading the regular session December 2022 minutes.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Tammy Vincent and carried, to approve the financial statement, including the Actual vs Budget, for the month of December 2022.
On a motion by Tammy Vincent, seconded by Kathy Guthrie and carried, that the bills for the month of December 2022 be paid.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Kathy Guthrie and carried, to elect Chris Mooney as President of the board, with 3 yeas, 0 nays, and 1 absent, the motion passed.
On a motion by Kathy Guthrie, seconded by Tammy Vincent and carried, to elect Tammy Peshoff as Vice President of the board, with 3 yeas, 0 nays, and 1 absent, the motion passed.
On a motion by Kathy Guthrie, seconded by Tammy Peshoff and carried, to elect Kim Murphy as secretary/treasurer of the board, with 3 yeas, 0 nays, and 1 absent, the motion passed.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Kathy Guthrie and carried, to compose a letter to Bret Wallace, Venture Global LNG, accepting and thanking Venture Global, LNG for the sheet piles donated to the Cameron Parish Water & Wastewater District #1 for the sewer pond restoration.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Kathy Guthrie and carried, to approve the amended final budget for 2022.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Kathy Guthrie and carried, to sign and return the engagement letter for the audit for the year ended 12/31/2022.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Tammy Vincent and carried, to complete, approve, sign and return the Louisiana Compliance Questionnaire and AUP to Coy Vincent, auditor.
On a motion by Kathy Guthrie, seconded by Tammy Vincent and carried, to review and sign the Sexual Harassment Mandatory Annual report and Identity Theft Prevention program for the year 2023.
The introduction of ordinance declaring certain surplus movable property of the Cameron Parish Water & Wastewater District #1 and providing for the disposal thereof. Motion was made by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Kathy Guthrie and carried, that the following ordinance be introduced: An ordinance declaring certain surplus movable property of the Cameron Parish Water & Wastewater District #1 to be sold as is and/or providing for the disposal thereof (1) 2007 Generac Generator and (1) white 2011 Homesteader aluminum cargo trailer. The Cameron Parish Water & Wastewater District #1 has determined the surplus movable property is no longer needed for a public purpose. Motion was then made by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Kathy Guthrie, that the said ordinance be filed and remain on file with the Cameron Parish Water & Wastewater District #1, in final form, and that the President of the Board is hereby authorized and instructed to publish the Public Notice of Introduction of the above proposed ordinance in the “Cameron Pilot”, the official journal of Cameron Parish Water & Wastewater District #1, and that the said Notice of Introduction of the above ordinance is substantially in the following form: Public Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the Cameron Parish Water & Wastewater District #1 the following ordinance: An Ordinance declaring certain surplus movable property of the Cameron Parish Water & Wastewater District #1 and providing for the disposal therof (1) 2007 Generac Generator and (2) white 2011 Homesteader aluminum cargo trailer. A public hearing on said ordinance was held at 4:00 P.M. on the 31st day of January, 2023 in the Cameron Parish Water & Wastewater District #1 office in Cameron, Louisiana.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Tammy Vincent and carried, to revise the residential deposit fee policy pertaining to a 2nd sewer only; Original residential deposit fee policy is $50.00. If a residential adds a 2nd sewer (RV) an additional $33.00 will be collected. If a new residential customer needs 2 sewers, then a total of $83.00 will be the new deposit fee.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Kathy Guthrie and carried, there being no further business, the meeting stands adjourned.
