Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Luke Eric Conner, 61, who passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Reverend Gil Dutel conducted the funeral services.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Conner; his mother, Loretta Theriot; his daughters, Jennifer Morris and husband William, and Megan Tran and husband Wynn, and Sara Conner; his stepsons, Jon McMahan, Nick McMahan and wife Stephany, and Ben McMahan and wife Heather; his grandchildren, Callie Steff, Joseph Steff, Savannah Morris, Tyler Morris, Shelby Morris, Cruz McMahan, DeLa McMahan, Cooper McMahan, and Zoey McMahan; and his brother, Gary Conner and wife Tina.

Luke was preceded in death by father, Adam C. Conner; and an infant brother, William Darwin Conner.

Luke was raised in Chenier Perdue and graduated from South Cameron High School Class of 1978. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from McNeese University. He founded and owned CPL Systems in Lafayette in 1995 until present. He enjoyed racing vintage motorcycles, cruising in his antique cars, cooking for large gatherings, telling tall tales and bad jokes, and most of all spending time with his family.

A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the Conner family to Dr. Ronald Jenkins and the nurses and staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
