Lorraine spread sunshine to everyone she met. She was so often described as a sweetheart and such a kind person. She raised seven children and was married only once to Starks Johnson for 70 years when he passed in 2015.
She loved flowers. She was a very good artist, having the ability to look at something and paint it. She also had several interesting hobbies including History, Genealogy, Archeology research, and reading books, lots and lots of books. All her hobbies led to her becoming a Certified Genealogist and a Certified Louisiana Historian. She also loved word find books. She always found something good to say about people. She left little blessings with everyone she met. She loved eating gumbo and grew up eating seafood since her father had a shrimp boat.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Starks Johnson; children, Lora Guthrie, Daniel Johnson, and Cheryl (Sandy) Reese; parents, Joseph Choate and Lelia Champaigne Choate; grandchildren, Toby, Travis, and Joshua; brothers, Roy and Wilson; sisters, Eula Mae, Barbara, and Gloria.
