The Lighthouse Hayride is back! It will be held Saturday, Nov. 2 and feature a 30 minute hayride from Cheniere Energy to the historic Sabine Pass Lighthouse. Guests will have the chance to see the tower and tour the grounds.
The hayride will travel along the private four mile long lighthouse road from a parking lot at Cheniere Energy to the lighthouse grounds. Guests will be able to peek into the Sabine Pass Lighthouse built in 1856, have a brief history lesson on the area via Adley Cormier, informed of the importance of coastal trees to migratory birds, and be treated to light lunch. The admission fee also covers a T-shirt.
The Cameron Presevation Alliance is involved in ongoing efforts to raise funds to restore the Sabine Pass Lighthouse which has been abandoned since 1952.
Tickets are $10 and can be secured online at Sabine Pass Lighthouse Facebook page via an online interactive link. The lighthouse is located at 9243 Gulf Beach Hwy.
