The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) Wednesday, Jan. 5, announced the dates and locations for four public meetings to discuss the Draft Fiscal Year 2023 Annual Plan.
The draft plan will be presented to the CPRA Board on Jan. 19 at the State Capitol, with in-person public meetings to follow on Jan. 24, 25, and 26 and a virtual meeting on Jan. 27.
In accordance with Louisiana Legislative Act 8 of the First Extraordinary Session of 2005, CPRA was created to develop, implement, and enforce a comprehensive protection and restoration Master Plan for Louisiana. While the Master Plan looks out over 50 years and outlines a comprehensive suite of projects, implementing them requires funding.
CPRA’s Annual Plan is the mechanism by which the state outlines projected revenues and expenditures for the upcoming Fiscal Year and two additional fiscal year cycles; project implementation schedules are also outlined.
Dates and locations for the four public hearings to present the Draft FY 2023 Annual Plan and to receive public comment are listed below. Public comment can be submitted in person at the hearing(s) in writing or verbally. Public comment during the virtual meeting may be submitted via the Zoom chat feature.
Monday, Jan. 24, at 6 p.m., at McNeese State University SEED Center Business Incubator, Willis Noland Room, 4310 Ryan Street, Lake Charles.
Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 6 p.m., at Nicholls State University, Donald G. Bollinger Student Union Ballroom, 906 E. 1st Street, Thibodaux.
Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 6 p.m., at Joseph S. Yenni Building, Jefferson Parish Council Chambers (2nd Floor), 1221 Elmwood Park Blvd., Elmwood.
Thursday, Jan. 27, at 6 p.m., Virtual Meeting via Zoom.
