Juanita Lynch, 95, of Lake Charles died Saturday, May 27, 2023.

She was born in Church Point. She was a 1945 graduate of Grand Lake High.

Juanita was known as a wonderful cook, loved being outdoors, and collecting porcelain dolls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Evia LeJeune; husband and father of her children, Rufus LaVergne; second husband, Robert Lynch; and three siblings.

Survivors include her children, Alan LaVergne (Sherry), Carolyn Smith, Gary LaVergne (Brenda) and Dean LaVergne (Arlene); eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Urah Greathouse, Velma Foux, Marie Bennett, Arnold LeJeune, Marilyn Abshire, and Debbie Arabie.

Services were held at Hixson Funeral Home in the Chapel of Peace on Saturday, June 3. Jeremy Smith officiated. Graveside services were held at Prien Memorial Park in Lake Charles under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles.
