PROCEEDINGS
May 11, 2022
There was a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Water District No. 2 at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the Hackberry Waterworks office.
PRESENT: Mr. Michael Fewell, Mr. Mark Trahan, Mr. Donald Buford, Mr. Mike Welch, Mr. Brad Hinton
Employees present: Mr. Glenn Welch, Mr. Dalton Nunez, and Mrs. Shaun Kyle
Special guest: Mr. Curtis Fountain – Police Juryman
The meeting was called to order by Board President Michael Fewell who also led the pledge and prayer.
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. Mr. Fountain voiced his concern about additional water service bills being charged to residents for having an inhabited camper on their property. The Board provided Mr. Fountain with the Waterworks policy and explained the regulations set forth by the Department of Health which the Waterworks must enforce.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford and carried unanimously, the minutes from the April 13, 2022 meeting was approved.
Monthly Operator updates were presented by Glenn Welch and Dalton Nunez. Dalton passed his 1st level of certifications and will be taking the 2nd levels next month. Anthracite was added to the filter at wellsite #2 to bring up the level from regular annual loss.
The Financial Report for the month ending April 30, 2022 and updates were presented by Shaun Kyle.
On motion of Donald Buford, seconded by Brad Hinton and carried unanimously, all bills were approved for payment.
Our next meeting will be Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.
There being no further business, on motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford, and carried unanimously, the meeting was declared adjourned.
