Joseph Allen Brister, 71, died Saturday, May 10, 2025. Born in Cottage Grove, Oregon, he spent most of his life in Big Lake.

He was a Senior Engineering Assistant at Entergy in a career spanning 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Brister; three children, Rachelle Mitchell (David), Micah Brister (Melonie), and Sarah Mann (Eric); siblings, Terry Brister and Kathy McCollum; and nine grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 13. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
