John Paul “Johnny” Madison, 82, of Grand Lake died Tuesday, Mar. 30, 2021.

He was born in Lake Charles and was a 1956 graduate of LaGrange High School. He served his country in the U. S. Army National Guard. He worked for Hercules in the maintenance department for a number of years and then was the owner and operator of Mr. D’s on the Bayou. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Madison Materne and husband Daniel; son, Blake Edward Madison and fiancée Sierra Nichole Babineaux; brother, James “Jimbo” Madison; sister, Bobbie Whaley; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Edith Daws Madison; son, Mark Edward Madison; parents, Robert and Louise Madison; one brother; and one sister.

His funeral service was held Monday, Apr. 5, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Burial followed in Prien Memorial Park under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
