John “Manny” Travis Armentor, 65, of Kinder died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023 in a local hospital.

He was born in Sulphur and was raised in Creole where he lived until moving to Kinder. He worked at Crain Brothers as a heavy machine operator before retirement.

He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Chaumont (Quinton) and Aimee Lindley (Derek), all of Kinder; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; siblings, Kathy Wright of Dry Creek, James Armentor of Dry Creek, and Peggy Simon of Lake Charles.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Armentor; parents, Ina Samuel Armentor; son, Aaron Travis Armentor; two sisters; and one brother.

A funeral service was held Monday, Jan. 30, in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Jerish George officiated. Burial followed in Our Lady of the Marsh Cemetery in Creole.
