REGULAR BUSINESS
MEETING MONDAY
MAY 12, 2021
The Johnson Bayou Recreation District of Cameron Parish met Monday May 12, 2021 at 6:00p.m. The meeting was held at the Johnson Bayou Recreation Center located at 135 Berwick Rd. Johnson Bayou, LA 70631.
Members present: Mr. Heath Jinks, Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, Mrs. Pamela Romero, Ms. Tammy Erbelding and Mr. Calise Romero
Members absent: none
Guests: Mrs. Heather Trahan, Mrs. Wendy W. Harrington and Mr. Merl Eppard
Mr. Heath Jinks called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
The pledge and prayer were led by Mr. Heath Jinks
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comments were made.
A motion was made by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, seconded by Ms. Tammy Erbelding and carried to adopt the millage rate for the 2021 tax year.
The director updated the board on the rebuild efforts at the Johnson Bayou Recreation Center.
Mr. Merl Eppard presented the board with options for shade at the pool. A motion was made by Mr. Calise Romero, seconded by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks and carried to accept the quote from Shade Systems, Inc. to replace the shade at the pool area that was destroyed by Hurricane Laura.
A motion was made by Mr. Calise Romero, seconded by Mrs. Tammy Erbelding and carried with a tie breaker vote by Mr. Heath Jinks to have a perimeter fence built at the recreation center.
A motion was made by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, seconded by Mrs. Pamela Romero and carried to accept a proposal from Planet Recess to expand the playground area at the recreation center.
A motion was made by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, seconded by Mr. Calise Romero and carried to accept the minutes from the April 14, 2021 meeting.
It was moved by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, seconded by Ms. Tammy Erbelding and carried to approve the bills as paid.
A motion was made by Mrs. Pamela Romero, seconded by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks and carried to accept review of the financial statements.
With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, seconded by Mr. Calise Romero and carried to adjourn the meeting at 7:13 pm. The next regular meeting will be held in July.
