James “Jim” Nicholas Saunier, 79, of Sulphur formerly of Hackberry died peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022.

He was born in Sulphur. He was also known as “Uncle Nickie”, “Jim” and “Nick”. He worked as a Maintenance Pipefitter for Citgo for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha McMichael Saunier; father, Adias “BeBe” Saunier and wife, Lenora “Sis”; and mother, Bertha Baker Myers and husband, Robert Lee.

He is survived by his daughter, Debera Saunier of Sulphur; sister, Lenora Faye Foste of Texas; and brother, Norbert Ricky Myers of Lafayette.

A Celebration of Life Service was held Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Celebrant, Jody Barrilleaux lead services. His wishes were to be cremated and he will be laid to rest at a later date.
