James “D.D.” Henry Albarado died on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022.
He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was raised in Cameron. He was a 1963 graduate of South Cameron High School.
He worked as a welder for 20 years. He became an independent welder working throughout Cameron Parish and the surrounding areas. He was a Supervisor with the City of Lake Charles Waste Water Division and retired with 23 years.
He was Grandmaster several times in the Masonic Organization.
He is survived by his wife, Nedith Albarado; children, Billy Joe Albarado and Alexis of Lake Charles, and Shelly Neff of New Orleans; two grandchildren; siblings; Mary Palmer of Andelusia, Ala., W.C. Doxey and wife Sandy of Magnolia, Ala., Davy Doxey of Cameron, Ruben Doxey of Cameron, and Ronnie Albarado of Scott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Mary Lois Doxey, and Oran Albarado; and two siblings.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Nov. 18, at J.E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Brother Wayne Dartez of Victory Baptist Church officiated. Interment followed at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
