Hornets survive Oberlin

By Jake McCoy

The Grand Lake Hornets traveled to Oberlin last Thursday to conclude the regular season. It wasn’t an easy game by any means. The Hornets struggled the entire first half against a scrappy Oberlin Tigers squad who were fighting for a playoff birth. At one point the Hornets were in a 14-0 hole at halftime. At one point down 20-0 until midway through the 3rd quarter when the Hornets would score 28 unanswered points that started with Brycen Guillory scoring on a 21 yard quarterback keeper to cut into Oberlin’s lead and eventually take down the Tigers 28-20. The Hornets collected their 6th win of the season!
