Harold Dupre

Harold Paul Dupre, also known as “Red” born in Houma on Jan. 6, 1930, son of the late Arthur Dupre and Edna Pitre Dupre, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at the age of 93.

Harold enjoyed many things in his lifetime, such as hunting, fishing, dancing, playing cards, and entertaining. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Harold was a man of great knowledge, awesome carpenter, welder by trade, electrician, gardener, and a perfectionist at everything he did.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Norris Dupre, Jasper Dupre, and Arthur Dupre, Jr.; and sister, Rita Randazzo.

Harold is survived by his wife, Yvonne Moore Dupre; children, Debra Lee Darnell (Dave) of Leonard, Texas, Glen Paul Dupre (Renee) of Sweetlake, and Roxane Dupre Boudoin (Frederick) of Creole; sisters, Dolly Leathers, and Ruby Bodin; grandchildren, Michelle Larson (Damien), Daniel Dupre (Lakeyn), Sara Dupre Logan (Ethan), Kaley Boudoin Bertrand (Casey), Alex Joseph Boudoin (Alex K), and Barton Vidrine who was like a grandson, and nine great-grandchildren.

As per his wishes private burial will be held for immediate family members. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.

The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital ER and 8th tower for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
