South Cameron Alumni Association will be hosting a Gumbo CookOff on Saturday, Jan. 14, at the LA Fur and Wildlife Festival. This will include seafood, poultry, and wildgame.

Judging will be held at 10:30 a.m. and awards will be given out at 4 p.m.

Music will be by Cody Forrest.

Who will take home “the official” gumbo pot and spoon with bragging rights for a year? Will it remain with Grand View?

Past participants include Bolton Ford, Caniks Grocery, Team Budweiser, Team Sun, Gumbo Dawgs, Fat Boyz, Chenier Shrimps, Rice Acres, Eat-Da-Bone Mafia, Theriot/Landry, C’eat Bon, Cameron DA’s Office, Team Kelley, T-Garçon and The Heberts, Cheniere LNG, Cameron LNG and Venture Global.
