Greta Boudoin Johnson, 90, of Creole, passed away on Monday, Aug. 17, 2020 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. She was born to her late parents, Pierre and Edith Boudoin on Sept. 6, 1929 in Creole. She enjoyed praying the Rosary, cooking, and visiting with her family, whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her son, Tony Johnson and wife Susan of Creole; daughter, Maureen Kahl and husband Don of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Sister Lurlie Boudoin and Adeline Styron; four grandchildren, Laurie Firmin (Chris), Kristopher Johnson (Kayla), Joseph “Tony” Johnson (Lauren), Andrew Brister; five great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Greta was preceded in death by her parents; and her two brothers, Johnny Boudoin and J. P. Boudoin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Lake Charles on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 1 p.m., with Father Wayne LeBleu officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Thursday, beginning at 10 a.m. until the procession to the church, with a Rosary at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Creole.
