The Gulf Coast Soil & Water Conservation District is hosting the 16th Annual Tree Seedling Sale on Jan. 24-28 at the Lake Charles USDA Center, located at 5417 Gerstner Memorial Dr. from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
The District, in association with NRCS and the Grand Lake FFA Chapter, announced that this year they have 3,000 seedlings of 11 different species. Hardwood and fruit seedlings are $2.
The following varieties are expected to be available; however, quantities are limited and no species is guaranteed to last (first come first serve):
Bald Cypress, Green Ash, Laurel Oak, Nuttall Oak, Native Sweet Pecan, Persimmon, Sawtooth Oak, Shumard Oak, Silky Dogwood, White Oak, and Yellow Poplar.
Go early for the best selection. Only cash or check payments accepted.
