The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the Grand Lake Pontoon Bridge on LA 384 will remain closed to motorists through Saturday, May 20.

The bridge was closed to highway traffic on Sunday, May 14 following a marine vessel collision that damaged the bridge. DOTD maintenance forces have begun mobilizing its tug and crane barge to complete the repair. The repair is expected to be completed by Saturday, May 20.

The bridge is open to marine traffic only.

Motorists are advised to use the Black Bayou Pontoon Bridge on LA 384 (Big Lake Rd.) as a detour route to access the Deatonville and Big Lake areas.
